Snowflakes - Bentley's Snowflakes - Marcus Fabrics - Kit
Inspired by the early photography of Wilson A. Bentley, taken in 1885, which captured the microscopic details and crystalline structures of actual snowflakes. In 1903 he shared these images with the Smithsonian; these were later added to the Smithsonian's archives. Kit includes pattern and all of the fabrics needed, including panel with twenty snowflakes, for the top and binding. The Bentley's Snowflake collection has a deep blue background with shades of denim, silver and gray. Some fabrics have silver metallic highlights. The center portion of the quilt is created with a preprinted snowflake panel.
